Matt Swede prides himself in raising premium Black Angus cattle from birth. All cattle supplied to Sage Beef come from Matt's farm, with the majority having spent their entire lives under his care. Calves grow alongside their mothers in the pasture during the grazing season. When winter sets in, the cattle are moved to spacious compost bedded pack barns where they can continue to express their natural behaviors with access to water, and grass-hay, supplemented with local grains for a balanced diet. Finishing cattle spend three months in the comfortable compost bedded pack barns with attached exercise areas with the same free choice access to water, grass-hay, and local grains. We NEVER use hormones in our cattle. By design, the farm promotes sustainability, biodiversity, and excellent cattle welfare to provide you with the highest quality products you can trust.
